About Us

Founded in 1972, NCO was created to support Indigenous peoples navigating and healing from their experiences with the justice system.

About NCO

The Native Clan Organization, Inc. (NCO) established in 1972, is a unique, Indigenous, non-profit community support charity. Primarily focusing on healing, cultural support and connection, and being adaptive to the needs of relatives exiting western justice our team helps relatives with needs on their healing journeys. We take the guidance and direction from our relatives and Matriarchs to lead how we help and support to ensure this work is done in a good way.

Our Values

We believe healing is a right that should be guided by culture, love, empathy, and community. By honouring our relatives’ and supporting one another as relations, we create culturally safe and balanced spaces.

  • Healing

We believe that healing is a right, and that everyone’s healing is valid and might take different forms.

  • Culture

We know that culture plays a core role in our healing journeys, and that Indigenous cultural ways are a cornerstone in our people’s path to life.

  • Love

We acknowledge the fact that we are all related, and as a family must not judge but love each other as relations if we are to make this world more balanced.

  • Empathy

We understand that factors and events lead us to places in life, and that we must understand others before we judge them. ‍

  • Community

We count on each other, and value the role we all play to make our communities safe, positive, and healthy.
