About Us

The Native Clan Organization, Inc. (NCO) established in 1972, is a unique, Indigenous, non-profit community support charity.

Our Values are:

Healing
- We believe that healing is a right, and that everyone’s healing is valid and might take different forms.

Culture- We know that culture plays a core role in our healing journeys, and that Indigenous cultural ways are a cornerstone in our people’s path to life.

Love- We acknowledge the fact that we are all related, and as a family must not judge but love each other as relations if we are to make this world more balanced.

Empathy- We understand that factors and events lead us to places in life, and that we must understand others before we judge them.

Community- We count on each other, and value the role we all play to make our communities safe, positive, and healthy.

Events & Gatherings

Manitou House

As the centerpiece of the Native Clan Organization’s range of services Manitou House serves as an important step to our relative's healing journeys.

This House, through its’ experienced staff and human-centered environment, offers support to those taking the steps to walking a good road and beginning a new journey in life.

These paths in life can be difficult, traumatic, and healing when travelled but Manitou House staff supports our relative's on this journey.

Lessons learned through our in-house programming, Elder/Knowledge Keeper relationships, and advocacy of our staff creates a focused healing place where our relatives can decide which paths will be taken in their journey of life.

424 Logan

Our gathering and learning space located on 424 Logan is a low-barrier community space for relatives involved and exiting the justice system to attend workshops, support groups, cultural groups, and programs. These gatherings are coordinated by NCO, and put on by NCO and its sister organizations that need space to have these groups. NCO’s goal is to provide a safe space for our relatives to access these supports, and be assisted in a culturally sound way to better benefit from these supports.
