As the centerpiece of the Native Clan Organization’s range of services Manitou House serves as an intermediate stage on the journey toward reintegration. This focused healing environment (Half-way house) house through its’ experienced staff and structured environment offers assistance in easing the transition from the institution to freedom and personal independence in the community. Manitou House staff and programs can help through empowerment and advocacy which lends to one discovering their strengths and confidence to move onward.
Programs and services offered to relatives who are placed here on residency conditions include: grief and loss, employment, educational upgrading, budgeting, parenting, and a number of other customized programs and lessons to help our relatives journey back to their home community.
The large focus of the House is to address trauma, colonializational impacts, and personal growth of our relatives. The House works with a number of Elders/ Knowledge Keepers and Helpers to address cultural and spiritual supports of our relatives. The House has a Healing Ground, Sacred Fires, Round-House, Sweat Lodge, Medicine House, and access to cultrual supports 24/7.
Manitou House residents are encouraged to attend the Residents Circles to address their needs, wants or suggestions for the house.

If you want a job,

Manitou House is now providing Physical Training with a Certified Personal trainer for all residents.
If you have fitness and health goals we will provide you with customized fitness training sessions and nutrition programming to help you meet your goals! Whether you want to tone up, pack on some muscle, shed a few pounds, run a marathon or just get into better shape, we can help you achieve your goals.
We can also provide you with gym passes to the City of Winnipeg fitness facilities FREE.
Participants must undergo a general health and fitness assessment before starting the fitness program.
